This year marks the 11th anniversary of the Dark Sky Festival – one of the premier events of the Town of Harmony. If you’ve never been to this festival, we strongly encourage you to check it out this Friday and Saturday night from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

It is nothing short of spectacular.

According to the Town of Harmony, the Dark Sky Festival aims to “expose the general public to the marvels of astronomy and the importance of protecting dark skies – not just for astronomy purposes, but also for the values that darkness provides to area wildlife.”

Highlights of the festival include a “telescope zone” with over 40 public telescopes, planetarium shows, hands-on educational activities presented by NASA, and much more. Meanwhile, at the Toho Water Stage, attendees will be treated to informational talks and shows presented by various astronomy and planetarium experts. The entire event will be held in low light conditions on the streets, sidewalks, and park located in Harmony Town Square.

We at LifeStyle are proud to build in this forward-thinking community, dedicated to doing their part to protect our environment. Their goals are perfectly aligned with the goals at LifeStyle in this regard. As many of you know, we at LifeStyle are committed to building highly energy-efficient homes for Central Florida residents that cut down on the need to burn harmful fossil fuels that release noxious greenhouse gasses.

In fact, while you’re at the Dark Sky Festival, be sure to visit our energy-efficient Harmony model home at 3208 Needlegrass Lane – which will be open both nights – and say hello to LifeStyle sales specialist, Bonnie Oliver!
