West Melbourne, FL — Renovations of the Police Athletic League’s (PAL) House in West Melbourne are underway. The LifeStyle team has volunteered to lead the rehab of the home, which will soon serve as an educational, recreational, and sports center for West Melbourne’s youth.
PAL is a youth crime prevention program that aims to create trust and understanding between police officers in the community and our youth.
It is based on the conviction that young people, if they are reached early enough, can develop strong positive attitudes toward police officers in their journey through life. West Melbourne PAL’s mission is to give every child the opportunity to participate in everyday childhood activities in a safe and caring environment.
The PAL House, located on Fell Road, is a 1974-built home in the heart of West Melbourne. It sits on a few acres behind the Space Coast Field of Dreams. West Melbourne PAL has visions to build a basketball court in the backyard. The home itself will be a meeting spot for PAL’s members and include fun activities, like a ping-pong table.
The project is a perfect community project for LifeStyle Homes, which is headquartered in West Melbourne. The interior demo of the home started on May 17th, with updates and renovations to soon follow. Local LifeStyle trade partners—including Classic Wood Flooring, Oceanside Cabinets, Advantage Air Conditioning, and Dutton Drywall—have already stepped up to donate materials and labor to bring visions to life. More specialists will undoubtedly also volunteer to pitch in this wonderful community project.
