West Melbourne, FL – Longtime Brevard County-based homebuilder LifeStyle Homes is relaunching “Education Renovation” to assist Brevard and Indian River County school teachers with special projects.

Education Renovation is a program that was created by LifeStyle Homes’ co-founders John Luhn and Larry Hufford in the late ’90s to support and reward hardworking school teachers, and assist them with tools and supplies needed to improve their classrooms. Both John Luhn and Larry Hufford started their careers as public school teachers, and giving back to educators has remained a cornerstone of LifeStyle Homes throughout its 32-year history.

The relaunch of Education Renovation started in August with a donation of funds to Mr. Andrew Disney at Merritt Island High School. Mr. Disney was seeking funding to purchase the premium version of the “No Red Ink” app for his English students.

“I am extremely excited for this opportunity and pleased that LifeStyle Homes appreciates the value of education and the importance of community,” said Mr. Disney. “No Red Ink allows students to work on language and grammar concepts at one’s individual pace. The program compels students to complete the exercises correctly with ongoing examples, tutorials, and lessons. Therefore, there will be ‘No Red Ink’ on the assignment. The program is a major asset to our ELA curriculum and enhances student’s writing skills and understanding of the nuances of English.”

Moving forward, LifeStyle Homes will be accepting nominations on a monthly basis through its page: Facebook.com/LifeStyleHomes. The first call for nominations will be posted October 3rd.

Here how it will work: Once a month, LifeStyle Homes will post a call for nominees on Facebook. Teachers, administrators, parents and friends are encouraged to nominate a Brevard or Indian River school teacher via Facebook comments, Facebook private messages, or by emailing karen@buildingalifestyle.com. Nominations should include teacher’s name, school, description of special project and its importance, and contact info.

Awards may come in the form of funding for a special projects (up to $1,000 per winner), needed tools and supplies for students, classroom improvements and updates, etc.
