LifeStyle Homes was honored to receive an Aurora Award at this year’s Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) that took place July 16-18 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

SEBC, which is currently celebrating its 37th year, is associated with the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA). It is recognized as the premier and largest building trade show in the Southeast United States. Over a three-day period, thousands of attendees in the building, developing, remodeling, design, engineering, and realty trades come together for networking, educational seminars, and to explore hundreds of industry exhibits.

The event culminates with a formal dinner and presentation of the Aurora Awards—commonly thought of as the “Grammy Awards” of the region’s home building industry. In fact, an Aurora Award “is the most coveted symbol of building and design excellence in the building industry” according to the SEBC website.

This year, LifeStyle Homes was honored and humbled to have won an Aurora Award in the category of “Environmental Design” for our Pineda Springs model home. This solar-powered home—the LifeStyle St. Croix—won for its employment of LifeStyle SunSmart℠, which brings together a combination of multiple highly energy-efficient building components and practices developed in partnership with the building scientists at the Florida Solar Energy Center. A 5.13 KW roof-mounted solar-system and electric-car charging station are also included with this home, allowing it to achieve this award-winning status.
