Your contract is signed. The plans for your home are drafted. Now comes the fun part—selecting colors, materials, and finishes that will soon help bring your new abode to life.

If you choose to build with LifeStyle Homes, your selections will be made at our Signature Selection Studio located in West Melbourne. Here, you will find a multitude of cabinets, countertops, tiles, woods, backsplashes, faucets and fixtures, and more, offered in a range of styles, levels, and price points.

No surprise then that our design studio can easily become overwhelming to first-timers.

Fortunately, every LifeStyle customer enjoys a complimentary three-hour design and color consultation with our resident interior designer, Jennifer Sartori. During your appointment, Jennifer will review your plans with you, then walk you through our Signature Selection Studio, guiding you to options that are ideal for your taste and budget.

And while Jennifer is an expert at optimizing your time during your design and color consultation, there are a few things you can do beforehand to get you better prepared.

• Check out design sources. By thumbing through issues of Better Homes and Garden, Elle Décor, and other design and decorating magazines, you can get begin to frame your design style. Collect images on Houzz, Pinterest, and other sites with home images to get a better idea of which colors and styles you tend to gravitate toward.

• Tour LifeStyle’s design studio beforehand. Our Signature Selection Studio is open five days a week during normal business hours. Before your color appointment, we invite you to stop in and browse. In fact, oftentimes before you even sign a contract, your sales counselor will invite you tour the design center with him or her for budgeting purposes. This will get you acclimated and comfortable with the layout, options, and price levels. Take note of selections that catch your eye, and feel free to send a list of these items to Jennifer before your appointment time. She’ll be happy to gather these items, and get a sense of your preferred design style.

• Know your budget. While we have gorgeous tile options in levels 1 and 2, for example, you may be more drawn to a particular level-4 tile. This is again another reason why we encourage you to browse our Signature Selection Studio before your scheduled color and design appointment. With a solid budget number in mind, you will easily know which items you can select from, and won’t be startled when reviewing your final contract price. And if you want to automatically start at a higher level, we encourage you to choose LifeStyle’s Executive Level standard feature package.
